Lorraine Manning wins Mallow 10

BERNARD ROE MAKES A RETURN TO WINNING WAYS

IN today's rescheduled Kostal Mallow 10 mile road race Lorraine Manning was the first female home in a new personal best of 1:00.53. David Grange also made the long journey south for his debut in a ten mile race - again he showed excellent form posting a time of 1:03.28.

Having missed most of the 2009 season due to injury Bernard Roe made a welcome return to winning ways in yesterday BHAA 5 mile cross country race in Swords. He won by four seconds in a time of 26:25.

Meanwhile, in the women's 2.5 mile race Patrycja Wlodarczyk was second in 15:37.Bernie Manley finished 16th in 18:31 with Mary Purdue-Smyth 26th in 19:43.

There are a big Raheny presence in the five mile men's race. Mick Traynor finished 4th in 27:24 and was first O 45. Others who competed include Tadhg Twomey (jnr) 31:27; Seamus Rooney 32:21; Vinny Clohisey 34:26; Brian Quigley 35:20; Gerry Kelsh 37:30; Jim Keogh 37:44, Maurice Timmins and Ciaran McGrath.
